Did You Know...the Way You Introduce Your Mate Makes a Statement?

by unknown

When introducing your spouse, don't say, "This is my husband, John."  Instead, say, "This is John, my husband."

Why?

When you put the description before the name, it demeans your husband or wife by implying that they belong to you.  The description after the name suggests an independent person who just happens to be married to you.

Food for thought...
