Advice

I am an African American female going through menopause. I am having some questionable occurrences.

Thanks for your question. I took a survey of doctors on the subject of menopause and could find no evidence that women of your racial background suffer differently than other women from the problem of menopause.
More to the point is how a woman takes care of her body, handles stress in her life, other medical problems, family medical history, environmental issues, and the presence of spiritual peace seem to be more critical factors in how she passes through menopause. As more and more women view menopause as a new stage of life with new opportunities, more women see it as just "another chapter in my life."

Pointers:

  1. When you have missed a period or two, check in with your doctor (don't forget the pap smears, etc.)
  2. Eat more healthy (and generally less) than you ever have.
  3. Exercise.
  4. Breathe deeply to get deep toxic poisons out of your system.
  5. Drink lots of water, and.
  6. Take time to meditate daily. The Bible tells us those who meditate on God's word will have success.

I hope that this will help you get through this interesting time of our lives.
